Located in the old city police department in the lower level of Jefferson’s City Hall, the Jefferson Historical Museum contains 16 rooms and two halls full of items unique to Jefferson and its citizens.
Learn about Jefferson’s last 186 years by walking through the rooms and observing memorabilia of our past citizens, businesses and organizations. We also have a small library which contains old annuals, histories and plat maps as well as Family Files of former Jefferson citizens. The Research Room contains over 100 scrap books where one can look up family members who once lived in Jefferson. We also can help with your local genealogy.
We gladly accept donations of items having to do with Jefferson and its citizens. Please contact Vicki at Schicker@hotmail.com or call (920) 541-3332.
The Museum is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 3 pm Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00 in the Summer only
We are closed during holidays, inclement weather and the month of January when the museum is cleaned and exhibits worked upon.
We also are pleased to open by appointment for individuals or groups. Contact us for an appointment.
